North Shore 2025

A few glorious days escaping the heat of Minneapolis with my brother, niece and her son.  I shared some of my favorite sites and took them farther up the North Shore than any of them had been before.  We made the mandatory stop in Duluth on the way up to watch the workings of the lift bridge as boats large and small navigated underneath and watched the Tall Ships in the harbor on the way home. We visited 7 state parks, making our way to Grand Portage on the Canadian Border.  We toured the Split Rock Lighthouse, lost count of all the waterfalls we saw, and spent hours roaming the beaches while throwing rocks in the water. Our days were filled with exploring and our evenings spent relaxing at the Solbakken Resort. Will continue to savor the memories of our time together.
