I have wanted to visit Biltmore for years and was delighted to finally get tickets and secure flights and hotel reservations this past summer. Those plans were jeopardized by Hurricane Helene, and I assumed we would need to cancel. An email from Biltmore a couple of weeks ago encouraged us to still come, as the area needed visitors so people could get back to work. This experience exceeded my expectations with the Biltmore House in its Christmas glory and the accompanying Chihuly exhibit an added bonus. It was also gratifying to be thanked so sincerely by the resilient people of Asheville who are working diligently to recover all that has been lost.
