He becomes enraptured by an equally entitled woman, and their days are filled with parties and arguments. In spite of these self-indulgent characters there is a lot to like in the beautifully crafted phrases describing the pre-WWI era in New York where anything was possible.

The Four Winds
The heart wrenching story of Elsa, a young woman abandoned by her family and facing a bleak future. Things go from bad to worse when her husband leaves and she sets off for California with her two children in the midst of the dust bowl. She finds herself trying to survive the unbearable conditions of migrant families from across the country. Inspired by a union organizer she finds her voice, showing incredible courage in standing up for the downtrodden but with a tragic ending.
